Chris Jackson is a California native who has lived in Taiwan since 1999. During that period he has worked as a professional writer and editor in the fields of academic, technical, scientific and medical publishing. His clients have included some of the top brands in the tech industry, including Mio, Viewsonic and BenQ, to name just a few. Chris has created academic materials for Taiwan civil servants and public schools, including two best-selling GEPT test preparation guides.
Chris also has over 20 years of experience as a professional journalist and editor of print and digital media. He has worked as a beat reporter covering everything from crime and local politics to arts and entertainment.
Currently he is the executive editor of CNN Interactive English magazine, a current events-focused ESL publication for advanced language learners. He manages for his own Web site, Taiwanwriter.com, covering such subjects as the writing process, expat issues and parenting in Taiwan. He is also an avid technophile whose interests include gaming, gadgets and geek culture with travel, fishing and reading also eating up what little is left of his free time.
